I have long wanted to have a group trip with a focus on Yoga in nature. And FINALLY... Now I've been lucky enough to bring along the incredibly talented Rabin, a yoga teacher who is originally from Nepal. (Read more about him at the bottom of the post)

When and where:
29-31 July 2024
The area around Luster, Vestland County, in the heart of the Sognefjord.

The main focus of this trip will be yoga in nature, presence and natural diet
One of the yoga classes we take you to will be at 630 meters above sea level, on a beautiful green mountain shelf belonging to Fuglesteg mountain farm, with a view of the mountain landscape and the innermost part of the Sognefjord.

Accommodation:
We will live at Raaum - Right on the edge!
Here we will stay in cabins that have a spectacular view over the Lustrafjorden.

The two cabins have a bedroom each with four beds, a kitchenette with all accessories and a gas burner. Bed linen and towels are also included. There is cold water in the taps.
At the cabins there is an outdoor area, the rooms are modern and with the best view.

In the area you can also enjoy the hot tub and sauna, and here we will enjoy both yoga classes and good food.

The farm is located in Luster and is known from 71 degrees north (last season).

Program for the days:

Day 1:
Arrival at Raaum Gard where we enjoy the afternoon/evening in beautiful surroundings. Rabin will teach us more about yoga and the lifestyle around it. Of course, we will also be able to take part in an outdoor yoga class this evening.
We serve a light meal and enjoy ourselves in this lovely place.

Day 2:
After a good breakfast, we drive to the start of the path up to Fuglesteg. The trip up is about 3.5 km and goes on a tractor road/path, sometimes steep.
Rabin takes us through Walking Meditation on the way up, and we take our time for drink breaks and enjoy the view.
At the top, a magical view from Fuglesteg awaits. Here we will enjoy a wonderful yoga class.
At the old mountain farm, it is also possible to buy the local Hellekake, coffee, tea and other goodies.

After the trip, we cook a healthy and tasty dinner together with Rabin, inspired by Nepal. Last but not least, we enjoy ourselves in the sauna and hot tub.

Day 3:
We start the day with a good breakfast and yoga before returning home.
For those who want to spend this day here before going home, it is possible to rent a SUP board from Raum Gard and enjoy the beautiful fjord. They also recommend some nice hikes in the area if that is desired.

Price:
NOK 4900 per person
Max 12 participants.
The first eight who sign up for the trip get the opportunity to stay in one of the cabins, the remaining participants stay inside Raaum Gard itself.

Included in the price:
Intro to yoga and classes with Rabin every day
Yoga class with hike to Fuglesteg
Hot tub one evening.
Sauna (held for us one evening for two hours)

A little about Rabin:

Originally from Nepal, Rabin studied Yoga and Ayurveda at Sivananda Vadanta Ashram in South India. He also has a master's degree in Reiki from Nepal. In addition, he is a trained teacher in the use of Tibetan singing bowls.
Before Rabin came to Norway, he ran his own center in Kathmandu where he taught yoga, massage and held courses in playing Tibetan singing bowls.
Today, Rabin works as a teacher at Hadeland Folkehøyskole where he teaches yoga.
He also has his own yoga centre, Thapa Yoga and treatment centre.
In other words, a very knowledgeable and skilled man who is really passionate about what he does.
