From 6-10 July 2024 we will get to experience some of the most beautiful Helgeland coast and the surrounding area has to offer.
Will you join?

Together with Meløy Adventure, which is well-known in the area, we will be taking part in an adventure that I can't wait to show off.
From the kayak, we will paddle out to one of the beautiful islands on the Helgeland coast.
From our own boat, we will drive out to one of the less visited islands. From here we will go to the top where a magical view awaits.
From the bike seat (electric bike) to Glomfjellet, where we park the bikes, we continue on foot for a rare canyon experience.
From our own boat, we will go out to Kalsholmen lighthouse with swimming, sauna and barbecue.

Does this sound like fun?
Here is more information about the trip:

Day 1:

Arrival.
After arrival, we will go on a RIB trip (approx. 40 min) to the exotic and beautiful Kalshomen lighthouse.
Kalsholmen lighthouse was put into operation in 1916, and still lights up. Meløy Adventure, led by Øyvind, has today taken over the operation of the lighthouse and will take us out to its own little oasis. We enjoy swimming, barbecuing and Øyvind of course also fires up in the new lovely sauna which is directly facing the sea, on the small cozy island.
Meløy Adventure provides all the necessary equipment - Warm, good flotation suits and life jackets for the boat trip.

Day 2:

Day trip by kayak to Støtt with a stop at Støtt Brygge.
Støtt is fantastic to experience in a kayak with beaches, wildlife and shallow water under the keel.
It will be a short stretch on the open sea from Kunna to Støtt.
We paddle to Støtt Brygge for a snack and a short guided tour of the conference museum.
The trip will last about 8 hours in total with all stops, we will enjoy the trip and make good use of time.
Øyvind provides all the necessary equipment - Kayak, oar, vest, splash cover, dry suit and wet shoes.

Day 3:

RIB trip and hike to Hestmannen 571 m.
The horseman is well known along the coast, but few have been to the top.
The hike starts out easy, but the last half of the mountain is steep. The last 50-100 meters of altitude can feel airy, but there is no climbing and a safe ride.
The trip up will take about 2 hours, and we will take plenty of time for both photos and to enjoy the view.
The view from the top gives you a view of the entire Helgeland coast.

Day 4:

Today we will start our trip on electric bikes to Glomfjellet. Here we park the bikes and continue on foot in the beautiful Lahko National Park.
Øyvind wants to show us a very special canyon in the area and here we enjoy the last day of the trip before ending with a cozy evening at Gulbrakka.
Meløy Adveture provides bicycles, helmets, tools and rope kits.

Accommodation:

We will spend the night in the very special Gulbrakka.
Operation Muskedunder - On a September day in 1942, 12 brave men went from Bjærangsfjord to Glomfjord to sabotage the pipeline that supplied hydropower. The sabotage was so successful that electricity was not produced again until long after the war. The shack was built in 1948, and was the sleeping and dining shack for many of the workers who came to Glomfjord to work on the reconstruction. Meløy Adventure has renovated parts of the building and focused on keeping the old working-class style.
Gulbrakka is located in quiet and peaceful surroundings, beautifully close to the fjord.

There are both double and single rooms in Gulbrakka.
Toilet and bathroom are shared. There is also a common living room and kitchen in the house, with a beautiful view of the fjord.
A sauna is also available in connection with one of the bathrooms.
