Friday 21/1 everything was ready for the trip to the Nordkapp. The kayak was in place, the car was packed and I could hardly wait to go 🥳🚐
Thanks to Thule's Hullavator, it is also possible to get the kayak onto the roof on your own.

The first stop was Åndalsnes and a short trip up to the Rampestreken and the new restaurant Eggen, 708 meters above sea level at the top of the town mountain Nesaksla.
Here you can enjoy an exquisite dining experience with a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains.
I chose to go up, but it is also possible to take the new Romsdal gondola.
There were ropes along large parts of the route, so it was an incredibly nice trip to go up there in winter. Maybe at least as nice as in the summer when there wasn't a person on the way up, and a magical view of winter-clad mountains 😍🏔

Winter paddling in Rauma was also something I had to try. It really added flavor and I am so incredibly happy that I brought my kayak on the trip🛶💙

After a night in Åndalsnes, the trip continued to Molde. Here I was going to visit Reser Molde where a pair of new randonee skis were waiting for me 🙏😍🎿 I just love this shop, there is always such good help and nice people there. Here I got a lot of tips for trips and sights, so I have to come back here on the way down again.

It was a bit stormy but the skis just had to be tested. I got a tip about Nonshøa in Oppdal, and headed there. A super nice little top on a blustery day. And I can't praise the skis enough, they were absolutely magical so I actually just smiled on the way up. The descent was worse, because with my skiing skills down I was probably more down in the snow and rough than up 🤪 But I can't blame the skis anyway 🙈😅 So much fun, I'm looking forward to many more ski trips!!

A short trip to the climbing center Crux was also necessary. Incredibly good place with both training center and climbing center in one 😀 Here you can buy a drop in class and enjoy the whole day here.

Then I headed north and found a nice place to park for the night just outside Trondheim, right down by the sea 💫

Not only idyll winter camping when the windows freeze to ice so you can't see out, and a shower and toilet are far away 🥶 But so incredibly much you appreciate a shower and toilet when you first find it. It actually feels incredibly wonderful to be so happy for so little, something you are used to taking for granted 🙏

The next stop for the trip was to be Havkanten Gjestehus on the island of Husvær on the Helgeland coast. What a place, it's just so incredibly beautiful here💙 Not to mention Havkanten, this place just has to be experienced 🥰
And if you don't have your own kayak, you can rent one here.

A big thank you to Havkanten Gjestehus for the hospitality ❤️

It is almost impossible to describe how incredibly nice it is to paddle here in the winter. Here with rock formations the seven sisters towering into the sea in front of us. Indescribably beautiful 💙🛶

Is it any wonder you get hooked on this?

The plan was to paddle around the island of Husvær starting from Havkanten Gjestehus, but with a bit of wind and sea on one side the trip went back the same way. Incredibly nice trip that is really recommended if you are in the area.

It is so incredibly nice to wake up to sunrises, here from Havkanten Gjestehus☀️

At the time of writing, I'm sitting in the car with a cup of tea and a lit candle while it's blowing up into a storm, so then it's just a matter of parking the car here until it calms down, before the trip continues north☕️

Then there will be plenty of time to practice more on the guitar too😊
