After leaving Österlen, I almost feel a little sadness inside me because I miss the lovely place. Funny how it sometimes feels like a little sadness when I travel from cozy places with nice people.
But…. Then I know that I will come back again and then it will be fine 🥰
Not least, the journey was to continue towards Kragerø Resort, where we were to meet one of my daughters Caroline and her boyfriend ❤️
But before that we were going to climb a bit in Bohuslän, specifically at Lysekil.
We stopped in Ystad on the way north. A cozy place with an absolutely fantastic long fine beach. Here we found a parking place for the night before we had to drive on.
After a pleasant bike ride along the sea and away to the city, there was lunch on the beach 🏖 It is simply happiness to enjoy a lunch on a blanket on the beach.
After a better lunch, we packed up and traveled towards Trellebystrand. As a youngster, I was looking forward to climbing again, it's so incredibly fun. After some searching in bushes and thickets, over streams and rocks, the finest climbing area suddenly opened up with a view straight out to the water.
Then it was just a matter of putting on the equipment and getting everything ready for a safe climb.
Here there was everything from easy climbing grade 5 to grade 8, so there should be something for most people.
After many hours of wonderful climbing, the fingers couldn't manage another trip up, even though the head wanted to hold on for the rest of the evening too.
But after a few hours of sleep, we found another small field right down by the water, and another wonderful climbing day ensued.
Then it was time to move on to Kragerø Resort, definitely one of my favorite places 😃
A small load of winter things that I was supposed to store, had we gone around the house and collected them, but there is not much space here so I really have to choose carefully what will fit here.
Then it was just a matter of enjoying a few days with a bit of luxury vanlife here 🥳
Regardless of whether you want to have lazy days at the Beach Club, cycle in the nice terrain park, play tennis, take a trip to the spa, enjoy good food, play golf and endless other things, just enjoy this little paradise 😍
The beach club has been completely renovated 🏖 Here there is both beach volleyball, a beach restaurant, kayak rental and really enough to do, or probably not do, for a whole day 😎 One thing is certain.... It is impossible to get stressed here. And if you're here at the right time, you might be able to catch a concert or several too 🎶
And it's extra cozy when there's some family time ❤️
The breakfasts here are simply insanely good, both for those who like healthy and not so healthy. Here there is actually an ice cream buffet for breakfast 😍🍦
A cozy day in Kragerø, a short boat trip away from Kragerø Resort 🌼
I can't go here without taking a short bike ride. An incredibly fun cycle path has been created directly behind the resort.
And the view from the hotel is nothing to complain about either 😍
And a short distance away this cozy space appeared where we could park Hjulius, so here it's a good idea to combine vanlife with the hotel's facilities 🥳🚐 The only thing is that with such a nice view it's impossible to fall asleep, then I just stay lying down to look at the view instead.
Finally I came up with a little idea. I had no idea where the trip would go next, other than that I was going on a trip to Western Norway.
So then the choice was really easy... I'll let the dice decide.
Either I go to the Dolomites, Svalbard, the Faroe Islands, Slovenia, Provence or Tuscany.
I have to create some excitement, hihi, so where I go will be in the next post 😉
Then it was just a matter of breaking away from Kragerø and driving home to the house to clean some more. The house is not sold yet, but I hope someone will want to buy it soon 🙏😊
