Yum, you really just have to try making these because they are so incredibly good 😋
They can easily replace sweets on a Saturday night, and are perfect to take with you to replenish your energy on a trip.

You need this for about 25 date balls:

200 g pitted dates
1 teaspoon cocoa powder, 100%
80 g dried cranberries
100 g oatmeal
60 g chopped almonds (roast in the oven if desired)
Have some extra oatmeal to roll the balls in.

Put the almonds in an ovenproof dish and roast them for about 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
Cool and chop the almonds into small pieces.
Mix the dates, cocoa powder and cranberries in an immersion blender. (This will be a tough mass so make sure you have a strong enough hand mixer).
Then mix in the oatmeal and the chopped almonds in the mixture. Mix well.
Roll the mass into balls and roll them in a bit of semolina.
Store cool.

And finally, most importantly - Enjoy with a clear conscience 😍

Nice to know about cranberries:
The berries are known to be preventive against urinary tract infection. They contain polyphenols which should prevent the bacteria from sticking to the inside of the urinary bladder.
They also contain lots of C vitamins and antioxidants.

Nice to know about dates:
They contain a high sugar and calorie content but are also rich in vitamins B and C, potassium, calcium and iron.
They are a rich source of healthy fibers and can be preventive in case of constipation.
